Accuracy: Ball placement and underthrowing passes are a constant concern, he is accurate in the short to intermediate levels but beyond is a gambler’s chance.
Arm Strength: His arm strength is the one part of his game that makes me want to believe he could make it in the NFL. His baseball background gives him a strong arm but he throws like Wild Thing without glasses.
Size: Great overall size, I wish he could use it to his benefit a little more when a running lane opens but alas. He has so many opportunities to make a difference with his size but he just refuses to do so.
Mobility: Horrendous mobility, he moves worse than anyone Tony Soprano ever tossed into the Atlantic. He just acts like a statue in the pocket which results in so many negative plays when they don’t have to.
Decision Making: Doesn’t make any irrational throws, his poor decision-making comes from his lack of eagerness to make a play with his legs.
Out of Structure: Never rolls out of the pocket so that remains to be seen, when the pocket is collapsing he refuses to acknowledge it is coming down on him and thus results in a negative play.
Pocket Awareness: I don’t think I could say anything positive about his pocket awareness. What he does between his ears when he is in the pocket needs to start processing what is happening around him, otherwise, he will be lost here.
Touch/Placement: Poor deep and intermediate ball placement, his touch tends to be rather spot on but his ball placement time and again is a gigantic letdown.
Mechanics: Good footwork, clean throwing mechanics, and has a quick release. Mechanics are good, a team won’t need to fix those. Again, one of the few traits that make me believe he could do it in the NFL with the right team.
Progressions: Tendency to stare down first reads, does utilize safety valves designed for him under the defense but doesn’t look off his first option a lot.
