Sean Tucker

Games Watched: Clemson (2021), Louisville (2021)

Best Game: Clemson (2021)

Worst Game:  Louisville (2021)

Vision: Runs to daylight in the open field. Reads the leverage of his blockers with anticipation. Can see when to take the edge on OZ. Allows blocks to develop on IZ and SZ runs.

Contact Balance: Thicker lower half allows him to run through contact and keep his feet. Low center of gravity also helps with surviving contact.

Pass Catching: Used primarily as a checkdown and in the screen game. Shows the upside to do damage with an expanded route tree (Texas routes, wheel routes etc.)

Pass Blocking: Would be beneficial for him to refine his blocking technique. More power and hand placement while blocking would prevent defenders from getting past him. Has shown evidence of solid blocking, but must be more consistent.

Durability: Available for every game in the 2021 season. Less than 300 carries in 2021 suggest minimal amount of wear and tear.

Change of Direction Skills: COD is precise and explosive.Quick feet allow for sharp and fast movements.

Long Speed: Has the long speed for the chunk play. Has multiple games where he’s broken off big runs. Has second gear acceleration and can maintain speed to keep from being caught from behind.

Ball Security: 3 fumbles on 383 carries currently. Holds the ball tight to his body while running. Covers up when he senses impending contact.

Creativity: A no nonsense type of runner. Has the lateral quickness to make defenders miss in small areas. A simple stutter step from him will cause false steps for the defender.

Strength: Play strength comes from momentum and thick lower half. Runs through arm tackles and survives contact well. Will need added upper body strength to assist in pass pro and moving the pile.

Summary: Sean Tucker is a compact, explosive and skilled runner with upside as a 3 down player. Development as a receiver will take his game to the next level.
