CB: Tariq Woolen, Seattle Seahawks *
Height. Weight. Speed. Woolen was viewed as a freaky athlete who needed to be “taught how to football” if you will. Well, he learned, and he brought the ball skills with it. Unanimous selection.
S: Jalen Pitre, Houston Texans
Pitre has his rough spots, but he was highly versatile, as he was everywhere and did everything on a Texans defense in dire need of playmakers.
S: Kyle Hamilton, Baltimore Ravens
Hamilton found a home as a big Nickel in a stacked DB room in Baltimore with Marlon Humphrey, Marcus Peters, Marcus Williams and Chuck Clark. What began as a rotational role turned into a full-time starting role and he produced very well.
FLEX: Martin Emerson, Cleveland Browns
The flex spot on defense can be given to anyone, as with how versatile defenses packages now get, anyone could be out there. Emerson wins that nod here over Kerby Joseph. Emerson got his first start in week 6 in place of an injured Denzel Ward as an Outside CB and then won the CB2 job once Ward was back. He played very well down the stretch, locking up some big-name WRs at times.
SPECIAL TEAMS:
K: Cameron Dicker, Philadelphia Eagles/Los Angeles Chargers *
A UDFA who started the season with the Eagles, played 1 game with them, and made his way to the Chargers in week 9, Dicker missed 1 FG all regular season, which was a 52-yarder in week 13 vs the Raiders. 1 missed kick all season gets him a unanimous selection.
P: Ryan Stonehouse, Tennessee Titans *
