Top Ten Interior Defensive Linemen of the 2023 NFL Draft so far

The 2022 NFL Draft wrapped up a few months ago and was regarded as a noticeably weaker class when compared to recent years. Aside from quarterback, one of the other positions considered to be lesser is the defensive tackle class. This is in spite of the class boasting incredible talents such as Jordan Davis, Devonte Wyatt and Travis Jones, all of whom look to make an impact early on. Outside of those names and a few others, the class wasn’t especially deep. The 2023 NFL Draft class looks great so far through summer scouting and is likely to be one of the best in recent memory from the trenches. And so here are the top 10 defensive tackles of the 2023 NFL Draft class so far!

1) Jalen Carter – Georgia – 90/100

No prospect impressed me more than Jalen Carter who aims to be the latest standout prospect from a lauded Georgia defense. Despite being surrounded by top 100 talent in 2021, Carter still managed to shine with consistency and is done enough to be mentioned as a top-five player in next year’s draft. Carter can win consistently with strength and good hand technique that allows him to be a force multiplier in run defense. Additionally, Carter excels as a pass rusher using his strength as mentioned earlier and quickness to bully interior offensive linemen.
