Accuracy: Accuracy is always on display to all levels of the field, can be a little lackey at times on deep balls but everything is more than catchable the majority of the time downfield.
Arm Strength: Able to make throws across the field from one hash to another, able to hit throws on all levels of the field, and also has enough zip on his passes to make it through the weather and make it into tight windows before they close.
Size: Good physical size, play style doesn’t present any concerns about him taking more of a beating than any other quarterback.
Mobility: One of the best quarterbacks in this class in terms of mobility. He has excellent awareness and vision to navigate a pocket when need be or to make a quick scamper to get a first down and extend a drive. He will never be a Josh Allen or Lamar Jackson type and that’s okay, think of a Russell Wilson or young Ben Roethlisberger.
Decision Making: Maybe his worst trait, he has a tendency to force passes into coverage to make a play or can have too much confidence in himself. That being said, he does make more good decisions than bad but still, this does need to be monitored.
Out of Structure: Completely comfortable in chaos or when forced to produce off-platform. Maintains accuracy when throwing on the run and decision-making actually gets better when he is forced to work out of structure, doesn’t take chances.
Pocket Awareness: Tom Brady level of pocket awareness, when he doesn’t have an option he has the sense to move about or out of the pocket to get more time for plays to develop.
Touch/Placement: Touch on passes is nearly perfect at all times, placement is on the same level from the short to intermediate passing game but the deep passing placements can miss time to time.
Mechanics: Flawless mechanics, clean and crisp throwing motion, and great footwork and hips to allow for an effortless passing motion.
Progressions: Saban’s offense has his team run and the way they are coached makes it impossible for them to not make progressions, Mac Jones did it, Tua Tagovailoa did it, and now we are seeing the same with Bryce Young.
