The AFC North Could be the Key to the Texans Rebuild

Now that we addressed that elephant let us move onto the next one, Watson still has a ton of legal proceedings and lawsuits to sort through before his picture is clear but with general manager Kevin Colbert retiring it is reported that he wants this to be his legacy draft. Between Colbert wanting to make a splash and the hiring of Brian Flores now on staff, this may be the landing spot for Watson.

What I am unsure of though is that the Rooney Family has made it clear in the past that they want no part of off the field issues, despite accusations against their now retired quarterback, so whether they green light this trade or not remains to be seen. If it is though and Watson can play, the Steelers enter the top tier of the AFC almost immediately.

Potential Haul for the Texans

The idea of a Watson trade has been explored by Blue Chip Scouting already but seeing what we can do with all the picks from these trades puts it into perspective how much they can fast track this rebuild.

Disclaimer: Mock draft is only the first four round but these trades would give the Texans 13 total picks in 2022.
